Telgest is a wonderfully situated Georgian Manor, set in 300 acres of regenerative farmlands on the banks of a river in the Brecon Beacons. The views are stunning. The exterior is Georgian perfection with large windows and columned porch way, draped with creeping roses and approached by a sweeping driveway.
The house has been recently renovated throughout and the interior is wonderful – period perfect paint work, plasterwork, fireplaces, wonderful hall and stairway, polished wood floors and correct furniture. Perfect for filming, but also wonderful for any lifestyle brands. Very pretty bathrooms and bedrooms, all with wonderful views through sash windows to the parklands beyond.
Outdoors, the house is surrounded by 300 acres of its own land which includes wonderfully planted gardens, walled gardens, secluded seating spots, lawns and wonderful wild swimming pond. There is an incredible kitchen garden with fruit cages, stone walls and lovely rustic barns, greenhouse and farm buildings with rare breed sheep ducks and goats, and donkeys. History and special interest
The regency house at Telgest was built in 1820 on the family estate on the banks of the river. The current owners have lived here for over 50 years and are only the second custodians of the estate in 200 years. It is Grade II* listed.
